So I wired my Custom guitar up with the Artie's coil swap mod... I put in a set of Full Shreds, and took the opportunity to wire it up with this mod.
I recorded some very short clips in 4 categories: Clean, Dirty, HiGain rhytm, HiGain solo. Every category has a clip from all 9 different positions + for comparison, 5 positions from my Ibanez RG 1550.
The RG have a Tom Anderson HN3 in the bridge, Bareknuckle Trilogy in middle, and a DiMarzio Paf Pro in neck...
The clips are very basic, and is not tonewise very nice either, but for comparison it might do?
There are no live video, instead it's text, images and audio... I'm too ugly to be seen in public! :naughty:
The result: Well, a bit disappointing... The coil swap positions wasn't very different from the normal neck in series.. But, I guess it's to be a expected, since I put two Full Shreds in there? Two completely different character pups would probably have given a much more spectacular result...
Here is the movie, I put it on Myspace too, much better audio and video quality!
I don't know what happened when I rendered it, the image area became very small, and the last 2 solo clips of the Ibanez was not included?? Oh, well...
