Coil tap a JB

If I coil tap a JB, do I use a 250k pot or 500k pot?

the jb often sounds better with 250ks no matter if splitted or not ...

The JB has a good split sound. I think it sounds better split with 250. But using the tone knob and a 500 I was content and happy
