Combining 2 preamp stages

well i was thinking if it would be possible to combine 2 preamp stages on an old amp, for example the vibrato and the normal channel on a fender amp.

Were you think of just like a jumper so you can mix the two channels together or like using one stage to cascade into the others for extra gain stages?

well the 2 gain stages would be best.
