Combining a Twang Banger, Antiquity Texas Hot neck, and Antiquity II Surfer RWRP?

I have a Twang Banger bridge pup for an ash Strat with maple fretboard, and I'd like to use an Antiquity Texas Hot in the neck position and an Antiquity II Surfer in the middle. I read another post that said that the Texas and Surfer are wired differently. Would the RWRP Antiquity II Surfer middle and Antiquity Texas Hot neck pups work with the Twang Banger bridge, or would I have to order or wire them differently? Any thoughts on this combination? Thanks for any input

Regular Texas Hot and Surfer models are of opposite magnetic polarity. Your RPRW Surfer will, therefore, be of the same magnetic polarity as the Texas Hot neck position pickup. The coil wind direction may be different. You would need to connect the conductors of one of these two pickups in reverse order.

Meanwhile, there is a polarity/direction clash between the Surfer RPRW and Twangbanger.

For your trio of pickups, the easiest solution is to connect the Twangbanger and Texas Hot neck pickups normally. Connect the conductors of the Surfer in reverse order. Expect no hum-cancellation.

a twangbanger is south up, texas hot neck is north up, the surfer should be south up. it you want humcancelling youd want the middle pup to be reverse polarity of the neck and bridge pups.

in your case twangbanger (south), surfer rw/rp (north) texas hot rw/rp (south)

On my Twangbanger, RPRW Surfer, Surfer set, I had to reverse the conductors and ground plate connection of the Twangbanger.

you might have to swap wires but it would be easier to swap the other two wires since you wouldnt have to move the baseplate ground

In my case, the Surfers were purchased new but the Twangbanger was pre-owned. Warranty considerations.

flipping the hot and ground wires wont void any warranty since you arent messing with the pup at all, just where the two wires are connected to the controls

This is what I was thinking.

Yeah. That information used to be available in the Antiquity pickup product descriptions BEFORE the 2015 website redesign. :smack:

Thanks a lot for the quick replies and information. So if I buy the surfer rw/rp for the middle and the texas hot rw/rp for the neck, I won't have to switch any wires? I already own the twang banger, but I haven't bought the other two yet. Thanks again everyone. This is a great forum

Yes, this is how I understand it. Confusing, I know.
