I was just thinking that even though I own five very different guitars, they all have a few things in common. I'm just curious as to what your common denominators are when it comes to the features of your guitar, and how many out of your collection do or don't have that common denominator. For the purpose of this thread, let's not count cosmetic features like color, binding, inlays, etc - just stick to tone and/or performance features. And let's only go with things that more than half of your guitars have in common. For example:
Maple neck: 5/5
Strat-esque shaped body: 5/5
Straplocks: 5/5
1 volume, 1 tone: 5/5
Vibrato bridge: 4/5
Duncan pickups: 4/5
Rosewood fretboard: 4/5
Two humbuckers: 4/5
4+ pickup combinations: 4/5
Non locking bridge/nut: 4/5
Bolt on neck: 3/5
A list of your collection would also be helpful. I've got:
PRS CE24
PRS SE Mike Mushok signature
MIJ Fender 1962 RI Strat
late 70's Mighty Mite neck thru strat
Music Man Morse Y2D
