Compression

Someone was asking about compressors a while back I think and I came across this vid which explains it from a players point of view.
If you have quality head phones or speakers you can hear the difference.

Also a lil FYI this guy played the guitar for Michael Jacksons song P.Y.T.

Compression is a cool effect. I don't know who that guy is but he has some nice licks and a great tone.
