Converting a Floyd nut to standard

Is this difficult to do?

I want to put a neck that has a Floyd nut on it, on a body with a Strat style tremelo, so for ease of tuning I want to put a standard nut on there.

Shouldn't be too hard, but you'd be left out with some routing there though.
Allparts makes a direct replacement I believe, check out their website :)

It´s just as simple as replacing a standard gibson /martin style nut, but you´ll be left with a bit of a platform behind the nut itself. No biggie, but it will be there ;)

i've been thinking of doing the Gibson nut on my Wolfgang neck i own.... thinking of useing a homemade body with a hardtail.... The fret end's bevel is real sharp on this neck and an R2 nut makes the E strings sit on the very edge.... So with a bone nut i will be able to move things over slightly and with a glued in Gibson nut it can be changed back to a floyd nut in the future....

I wish i had used a gibson nut on my old Kramer neck.... i grain matched and glued a piece of Rosewood in the Floyd nut rout... shaped it to look like it belonged... Looks like it was original! I even filled in the Screw holes thru the back of the neck... I did all that thinking i'd never find a Cheap floyd to use with that neck... Wish i had not done so now.... 5 years latter now i have a spare floyd and R2 nut
