cool rails, vintage rail and hot rail in strat?

Re: cool rails, vintage rail and hot rail in strat?

I have a cool rails in rhe neck of a squier strat, and a hot rails in the bridge of that same strat. The cool rails is very articulate yet smooth and is great for melodic leads. The hot rails sounds HUGE. If you want a "beefy" sound, it would probably be a good match. Just don't try to use a hot rails for clean tones...

One question though: Is your strat also routed to take full sized humbuckers? If it is, you may want to consider that. I personally prefer full sized buckers- they seem to have a fuller, more 3-D tone.

I believe it is routed for H-S-H according to the Fender Website.

What about the Jeff Beck set for my strat? I heard you have to do a lot of tweeking to get your sound?
