Could I do this? Help please

I got an idea today to hook up my epiphone valve junior the speaker in my carvin, for fun. The problem is I don't know much about matching ohms and such.
1.The output on the carvin amp is 8 ohms, so can it be assumed that the speaker is 8 ohms as well? The celestion site said it would be either 8 or 16 ohms.

2.The output of the Epiphone is 4 ohms, so can it be assumed that the speaker is 4 ohms? I can't find any specifications on the speaker or on the interweb.

Is it possible to hook this up safely?

short answer: no.

if the impedences won't match up, then it's best not to mess with it, especially in a tube amp.
