Could the pictured pickup be a Duncan Broadcaster stl1b tele bridge pickup? Baseplate has no duncan logo or sticker or anything else, and wire seems to be plain plastic and not cloth but not sure by the photo 100% on that.

No, they use a impressed logo on the baseplate and cloth hook-up wire.

looks like the duncan designed version of my memory serves.

That is almost certainly a Fender American Standard Broadcaster pickup.

Measured at 15.7k think the fender american std is what this pickup is.

So now resurrecting this thread as I would appreciate your help for another pickup i came across:

Duncan broadcaster? Is that sticker something duncan used back in the 80s? And what’s that 3rd wire, coil tap, or just another ground?

the 3rd wire is the base plate ground, not sure why it is wired like that since it is also connected to the black wire. usually that would be done so you could put the pup in series or reverse phase while having the baseplate grounded

Yep, STL-1 Broadcaster

Those labels were used up to ‘02 I believe.

The ground connection to the base plate would sometimes come loose. Someone decided to add a wire rather than resolder. You can easily remove and correct yourself
