Couldn't resist the Telecaster after all.

It kept calling me, and came to me in my dreams. Got it cheap, $300 for the Lite Ash model (made in Korea and loaded with Duncan AP II's). Went with it not only since the neck seems to fit me so well, but I wanted a single coil guitar with a maple neck and ash body. It's pretty stellar for Korean model....the fret work is really well done, good grain on the maple neck and ash body, intonation is on (though I will replace the bridge). Curious to see how she sounds thru the Soldano.

not bad, not bad. ash is some good stuff.
That helped for the rationalization to buy it. I've two mahogany bodied guitars with humbuckers. It seemed a moral imperative to get an ash bodied single coil axe....

if you got a good playing lite ash tele for that price you got one of the best deals. I would have bought one of those for that price and i already have three teles

My bad....had a typo there. Got it for $350, not $300! Still a pretty good price (I thought so at least).

i love those well priced MIMs. Anything lite ash or MIM signatures like the jimmy vaughan strats are amazing deals, they have the same or better features than the upper tier fenders.

That's great. I remember when my GC first got one. I played it and thought it was very very nice. I almost bought it; especially for the Alnico II Pro pickups. I came back and they had sold it. They two others though. Both of which weren't very good at all. The quality is not consistant with those models so congrats on getting a good one.

Sometimes you play a guitar and, well.....

You answered the call. Sounds like it had to be.
