Crazy 8 on bridge and.. ??? on neck?

Yo guys... More for those of you that have the Crazy 8...from a couple years ago.

current i've just been using the Crazy 8 in the bridge of a guitar. No neck pup.

However now i gotta get my guitar back into shape for gigging and i need to add that neck pup. And i really have no clue what works best with this pup.

Its gonna be in an alder Jackson. Hum-Hum config.

I was thinkin Alnico 2 pros hum or Jazz.. or maybe even a 59 (but i doubt so)

how much output does it have? i'm not too familiar with crazy 8s, though i am with alnico8. in my experience something with a5 matches up very well with a8, imo if it's got output to match, a bridge '59 in the neck slot would match up very well with the crazy8.

a bridge model paf-type in the neck would match the crazy 8 then, it'll have more mids than a neck-specific model and output to match the a8.

i used to use a 59 with an A4 with my Custom A8.

so im guessing A8 works well with A5 mags from what i've been reading. cool. i got it covered then! thanks!

my latest favorite setup is an Alternative 8 in the bridge and a "bridge" PAF in the neck. a bridge model PG, '59, or A2 Pro do well in the neck actually when you have a high output A8 bridge pickup, especially the PG.

No direct help... but I use the Cool Rails with a Crazy 8 with success. The cool rails certainly has a bit of a PAF vibe to it, so I'd start with something along the lines of a 59 or a Jazz and go from there.

I use a PATB1-N in my Charvel that has a Crazy 8 in the bridge, and it matches up well.

Yep, when I had my Jackson Dinky in the last two years, this was the combo I settled on and it worked for me. The pickups were good compliments to each other.

It's a Seymour Duncan Custom Shop pickup - A medium high output pickup with Parallel Axis bobbins and an Alnico 8 magnet.

I had a Crazy8 / Screamin Demon combination in my Epi LP Its pretty baddass in that guitar and as soon as I get bored I will put it back in.
