Creepy ethereal music for Call of Cthulu game

I've started writing background music for my Call of Cthulu game. The basic theme is based off of a Dm/Gm progression. This is the first piece:

Written in Cubase using EastWest Symphony Orchestra, Samplebase, and MTron.

I absolutely love it. There are a couple of other symphonic sample libraries available now that are also great, but EastWest was the first great one out there with high quality samples, multiple mic positions, etc.

That being said ...

Unless you are really into orchestration, it can be very cumbersome, because it doesn't do anything. For most people, string section samples are more than adequate. I do write a lot of orchestral pieces for fun, so I like being able to have solo violin, first violins, second violins, violas, etc etc etc ad infinitum ... but it can be bewildering to the unitiated!

Yep. This is, essentially, mood music. I just prefer writing my own instead of using movie soundtracks or something. Something that's written for the game doesn't detract the way something that's familiar would.

That being said -- I've written a lot of pieces for podcasts, and would LOVE to score anything anyone has in mind -- independent film, game, instructional vid, what have you!!!
