Crossley Refigerator White

[Peter Crossley]

Hi Guys,
Just finished setting this one up.
I wanted to build a guitar that took elements of the P and H series, and combine them, having a hollow carvetop.
Its nice and light = resonant and I thought I would do it in "Refrigerator White" as a strange homage to Nick Lowe who is touring soon with Ry Cooder.
Fretboard is my fave fretboard timber Cooktown Ironwood, inlay is "The Three Horns of Odin" :wtf
anyways.....

I have that inlay in a pendant only I was told it was the symbol of chaos or sth...
Man, your ability and artistic capabilities never cease to amaze me.

If I ever was gonna get a custom-made guitar (and for some odd reason didn't want it to be a superstrat) there wouldn't be any other person in the world I'd think about building it.
You are as much an amazing luthier as you are an artist!

The fancy tops are great, but **** does that body shape hold solid color awesomely! I love it, Pete! The grain patterns on the ironwood board are very sick, too. Very tight with some swirl and just the right amount of variegated pattern.

That is a stylin guitar. Even the screws of the truss rod cover look like they are placed logically.

If money were no object: semi, smokeburst finish, 2hb (or P90 in the neck and hb in the bridge) with fancy switcheroo of some kind, Schaller Batmobile bridge. Luckily dreaming don't cost a cent :friday:.

Even better :eyecrazy:. I like the way you think; with a triple shot ring perhaps.

But, I like that gold top with the P90s that Pete flaunted to us gas ridden wretches a while back, that's what got me thinking.
