Crowther Hot Cake Bluesberry

Any one tried one of these? I'm looking for something to give a tight low-end growl to the overdrive, almost fuzzy. The reviews and yootoob clips sounded good but it would be great to get the forum opinions. I'm looking for an early Billy Gibbons kind of rumbling crunch. Easy!!

This pedal does it. Whether you like the feel of it is another though...

whats the difference? never heard of this one, have i been living under a rock or is it new?

Re: Crowther Hot Cake Bluesberry

Just bought it - it really does do the job. One of the best pedals I've ever used.

Jeremy - it is a new Hotcake, voiced to sound more open and "bluesy". It is fantastic with the drive just below 50% and the level quite high. The pure tone of the guitar is not affected, however - pick lightly and it's clean and pure.

Re: Crowther Hot Cake Bluesberry

according to the Hotcake page at MusicToyz:

Cake 2.0 now includes both the Standard and the Bluesberry in one pedal. There are jumpers inside the units that allow to pick which one you desire.

Aww.....now I've gone and tried a Lovepedal COT 50 and it's even better.....

So, I see a new thread starting here....."How Many Overdrive Pedals Should a Man Own?"........
