Cured! Low Frequency Feedback Issue...

Per the thread above to those interested, I found the problem to be weak height adjuster springs that came stock with my Gibson Tony Iommi aftermarket pickup.

Apparently, the Iommi pickup was packed with a set of "short springs"! Uhhh...meaning that the springs were barely an inch long, and only had one finished end. They looked like one long spring cut in half...one finished end, and one barbed.

Anyhow, I got my other Iommi a week ago, and it was furnished with two long springs with finished ends! I cured the feedback issue with the the stock conical heavy-gauge Epi springs. If more low frequency problems arise, I may get a sample of "temperpedic bed foam", but for now all is good.

Hey that's great news! I actually like using the rubber surgical tubing....You're talking about the spring between the pickup and the cover right?

Yup! Those would be it.

I also would like to thank you, STRATDELUXER97 for being a life-long student of the guitar. Permanent thumbs up to your open-minded attitudes I have noticed on many posts.
