Curvy Bodies and Broads

Okay, apologies for the very non-PC thread title!

I have a G&L Tribute ASAT Classic Semi-Hollow. I'm not crazy about the ceramic stock pickups, they are a bit sterile. I'm leaning more toward the duncan Broadcaster bridge and Vintage neck models. A search on these forums shows pretty good feedback for these two. But, how about specifically in a hollow body Tele style? Any words of wisdom for me?

I'm looking to play mostly clean on this guitar, but sometimes with a little distortion edge to the tone. Country music and roots rock would be the styles - Dwight Yoakam/Pete Anderson neighborhood for starters. I listened to the online samples and the sound clips of these models are what I'm after too, but I imagine those were recorded with a solid body.

never tried them in a hollow tele but i imagine that they would sound great. the broadcaster is a killer bridge pup in everything ive tried it in.
in a hollow guitar you have a little more open top end and a little less thick a tone but i think itll sound great

That G&L is an amazing guitar! I played one and was dying to have it. I'd say you've got a pretty solid combination there and worst comes to worst you can return them for a different set.

Thanks. I took the plunge and ordered them from Guitar Heaven, who naturally shipped them to arrive the next day. I'm going to install them tonight, so stayed tuned for my findings.

They're in! And I know already they are in TO STAY!

The ASAT now sounds like a killer Tele. Plenty of spank and twang. Sounds awesome in both clean and distorted amps. It's almost as if I can taste each note I play.

I wish I had gone this route years ago. I've always been a Les Paul player, but now I'm sweet on the Tele style too.
