Narrow it down to these 2. For the bridge of my Charvel with floyd. Play classic rock. Looking for a versatile, and vintage stle pickup, with some kick to it.
Exp with each in a similiar guitar would help.

Why choose? PATB-1b. Best of both sounds, plus a bit of extra push, in one pickup. Also gets some comparisons with the S-Deco.

The PATB-1b has less mids than the CC, but more than the C5. More highs than CC, but less than C5. Sweeter upper mids than either, thanks to the Parallel Axis construction. If you back the tone off, it softens up like the CC.

One install tip on the PATB-1b, if it's too bright, deep & hollow sounding, back the pickup away from the strings until the mids come back.

Out of the two you picked, I'd probably go with the CC if you are an EVH fan, and the C5 if you want a brasher crunch. Or you could go to an Unoriented A5 to get something that splits the difference a bit better, though without the other benefits of the PATB.

[Those being: reduced string pull, improved sustain, articulation and string balance, enhanced harmonic response, and they're recommended for beefing up a superstrat with floating vibrato bridge to sound like a thick Les Paul.]

I tried a Custom 5 in my Charvel So-Cal. Nope, lifeless. Very flat tone.

Replaced it with a Custom Custom. BLISS! Perfect pickup for this guitar. Lots of sparkle, smooth and singing highs and definite mids. Bottom is not too spongey for my tastes, thanks to the Floyd.

Get a Pearly Gates neck mdel in there too, and you will have a guitar that you never want to stop playing. This one has become my main guitar.

Cool! Will try the custom custom. Mine is the single pick up san dimas in flat black a wild card run.

I vote for the CC, in spite of the Tone Wizard (which does not have a high batting average).

Wow, I'm suprised you didn't mention a CUOA5. I think that's the first post in months!

And another vote for a PATB-1

Ding! Ding! We have a winner!
I've had JB's, CC's and C5's in my Strats.
They are not around anymore...but the TB-5 is!!!!

Success, nice chunk on the low strings and lead lines sing, in a musical way. Nice push on lead lines. Loved it in my Les Paul, never considered it as an option for the charvel.
GOOD call guys.
Thanks alot!
