Custom 8 Question....

Hello Tone Mongers
I haven't visited in awhile but a new guitar usually means new SD pickups, so here I am again.
I already have a guitar with a Custom 5 and another with a Custom. I find the C5 to be powerful and ballsy with scooped mids and a moderate, vintage sounding high register,
While the Custom seems to have basically the same lows, but more growl in the midrange and harmonic sizzle up top. It almost sounds hotter than the C5 but its not.

My question is, how midsy is the Custom 8? I don't mind a little midrange for character, but I am somewhat of an EQ scooper.

How much more midsy is it than the Custom? Should I try something different that may have a little more dip in the EQ?

A C8 has a ton more low mids than a C5 does and a bump in output too...

It has its fans around here but for me it just too single tracked... it only roars and after awhile it gets fatiguing

Try the "big" Custom: a Custom with a double thick ceramic.

If you like scoop, then you shouldn't even be in the same room with an A8 magnet.
