Custom Custom does old school metal

Re: Custom Custom does old school metal

Sweet tone. That's what I love about the CC, it can do all that and more.

That's very raw sounding. I like it, and I'm not much of a Boogie fan at all. ;)

Thanks guys! Liking the tune is the best compliment of all.
I know the music I write certainly isn't for everybody, but hopefully its for some of those everybodys out there.

FWIW, I'm finaly swapping the CC out and the EVH in this week. I can't wait to do my own comparison. As a EB/MM Axis owner I'm also curious to see how the pups compare (albeit in different guitars).

That clip makes me happy I ordered a CC for my CT4C. Nice tune as well (where's a horns up for metal smiley when you need it?).

Damn, that's a big file - stuck on dial-up here - any chance of a shorter clip, for those amongst us who are challenged in the bandwidth dept?

Re: Custom Custom does old school metal

Good tone, very interesting groove with a lot of stuff going on! The solo section was somewhat reminiscent of early Lynch Mob, good stuff! I like solos without rhythm tracks for this kinda stuff, your tone was fat enough to carry the groove alone. I think your singer blew out the levels a few times near the end. Some kind of compressor/limiter may be in order for her, and her vocals definately need to come up in the mix, esp. early in the tune....

You'll find the EVH to be more present, less compressed, and with more treble. IMHO, the CC has a better lead tone, but the EVH has a better rhythm tone. Enjoy!
