Custom duece in a bright axe !

Refering to the Pro Shop (gotta love that) Custom Custom, anyone with this pickup in a very bright guitar, could you walk me along in what to expect.

Will my high's sing sweetly ? Will my low-chords have authority ? Will it be abosolutely breathking ? "I'm so excited and I just can't hide it..." !

By the way, the bright axe I'm installing it in (o.k. having someone else install it) is a Jackson RR1 with alder body wings, ebony fingerboard, and a (quartersawn) maple neck-thru design, if this info helps.

Any experience in this regard is greatly appreciated.

Sweet man. The CC will help make your RR1 sound better than it ever has. Play with the height of it to find the sweet spot. I have it in 2 guitars, one being a maple bodied Kramer Baretta. Pretty bright guitar, and the CC is just the ticket for evening it all out.

It will thicken it up a lot by adding lower mids while still retaining clarity. The highs you can dial in to your liking by raising the pickup.
