Custom EVH question...

Hi guys,

since this is my first post here I'll be short and simple

I recently bought Custom Bridge EVH and I'm totaly hyped about this pick-up.
It's really awsome and worth every cent...:banana:!!!
But.... I have trouble finding a perfect match to put in the neck position.
Right now I'm using an Kent Amstrong Vintage humbucker and altough it's a good pickup, I feel (and hear) it's not up to the EVH.
What should I look for?

SD will wind you an EVH neck. That's what I did.

Pearly Gates Neck...
Reason... same magnet... similar wind, but for neck position

I've also got an EVH and would agree with you that it is definetly worth every penny I paid for it!

I was planning on using a Pearly Gates neck with the EVH bridge also (but I decided to go with a single bridge humbucker). Of all the production SD models, the neck PG is probably your best choice. Some people also like the Alnico II Pro.

Please, does anybody know if there is a hotter version of the EVH custom?
Something similar perhaps but with, hm...let's say 12 - 15K?

That's essentially the Custom Custom

Uh . . . it's a Custom Shop pickup. :smack:

If you want a hotter version, ask MJ and she'll wind one for you. If you want a matching neck pickup, ask MJ and she'll wind one for you. If you want one with four leads, I think you can figure it out.
