Custom or Distortion?

I know both are ceramic pups with the custom having lower output. But which of the 2 has a fatter, thicker open tone that has good clarity and insane harmonics. Cleans don't matter.

The DD is supposed to have really good harmonics, and a thick, fat tone. I don't know about the custom. Surely someone else will know.

I find that the Custom is a little more open and has a tiny bit more clarity but the Distortion has much better harmonics and is quite a bit fatter and thicker. This is comparing the pickups in two completely different guitars, however. The Distortion is my personal favorite and I highly recommend it.

Metal= distortion

Hard Rock/Pop Rock/Blues= custom

I recently sold a older DD from the 80's and it was real good. maybe a bit too
powerful though depending on what amp you use?
the custom i have yet to try but i have heard only good things about it.
