Mad skills man! Great tone and great playing! As far as what you had done to the JB, what were you looking for to change about it's original state tone wise? Also, describe the differences in tone between your BB2 and the current state JB. I have a JB in a LP Custom and It's the best pickup for my needs that I have found so far. I've been through BBpro, Custom Custom, WCR Darkburst, SH6, Tone Zone. I talked to Evan at NAMM over the weekend cause I wanted to try the RATM, and the '78, but I actually had to go to the Fender/Charvel booth to test them in the Warren and ED guitars. The RATM was great.. like a more organic JB. Also wanted to check out the Suhr Aldrich, but they didn't have one in a demo guitar to try.

Two of my favorite pickups - the BB2 in my R0 and the JB in my SL2H.

The SL2H is stock, but I want to get a push pull to split the JB.

The R0 has been upgraded to 550K pots all around and NOS bumblebees. The BB2 sounded great, but I just wanted "more" of it - more output and more high end.

I also keep a 2002 LP Std. nearby. The BB Pros have a lot of bark and bite to them.

What do your ears tell you in the difference between this Custom JB and a standard JB?

This JB compared to regular JB without the nickel cover is more dense and not as dynamic . In any case i will most likely go back to BB2 and have the pickup saved for a warmoth project i keep thinking about. Maybe BB pro or 78 will be my next pickup to test with the goldtop.

Amazing playing, great tone!

But it sounded kinda repetitive, i mean, i love your phrasing and the bt sounded like an intro, is that an original song in the making??

Well i did not try to showcase how many different ways i can jam over a looped progression (that is a part of a song i recently recorded) .I just played to show the sound of the pickup and it,s sound under my fingers
