Hey all,
Just got my order back from MJ. She rewound an older JB I had to the S-Deco-5 bridge (11.5-12k) specs. I haven't installed it yet, but here's what I can tell you so far.
The coils measure 5.71k and 5.76k, which shows a slight mis-match. That puts the overall resistance to about 11.47k or so.
I should be putting it in my Les Paul this weekend, and after a few days of test-driving, I'll post a review if anyone is interested.
MJ said it's basically a HOT '59 (I asked for a hotter JP bridge, and she pointed me here) with thicker mids and a bit less bright due to the overwinding. Vintage-y tone with a hotter signal, so it should stay tighter under higher gain vs a normal '59b.
Anyway... time to heat up the soldering iron
