So I had used this STK-S6 before in HSS configuration with a DiMarzio PAF Pro (the OEM in MIM Fenders), very well balanced combo and worked for me for years until I got the bug of the real vintage strat sound. So I tried the SSL-1 neck and bridge, fell in love with the neck sound but and while bridge was nice with cleans it was too thin for crunch or leads while hard to balance volume wise. Moved the SSL-1 to middle and then put the STK-S6 in the bridge and Bingo! The volume balances better, it is crisp and crunchy, chords are really well defined but no noise. I could have tried putting the SSL-6 I have here too but I don't care about comparisons, this works for me and like it a lot.
Edit: I know, this STK-S6 is not the vintage Strat bridge sound but it works better for me, that was my point. The SSL-1 neck and middle are more vintage correct tone wise and living those too.
