Custom truss rod covers?

Anyone know a good, decently priced place to get a custom Gibson truss rod cover made? I want to get one to match my pickguard.

Re: Custom truss rod covers?

Thanks. I sent him an email inquiring, but do you have any idea what he charges?

By the way, what's wrong with surf music? :)

www.mirabellaguitars.com................. Cris Mirabella does some of the best custom designed bell covers for Gibsons I've seen

Bingo Dave is 100% correct ask Cris he can do it no problem! I met Dave, Scott (Wattage) and Cris last week and was blown away by three of them they are some of the nicest guys i've ever met! Cris is doing setups on 3 of my guitars now and is doing custom inlay work and a fret leveling on my new tele...i'm also having him do a setup on my 1 of a kind LP in my avatar and i don't let anyone touch that guitar. You can trust Cris to do good work! I got to see some of his work while i was there and was blown away by the quality!

Here's an idea from out in left field . . .

I was in Home Depot yesterday looking for some home repair stuff, and was walking by the kitchen counter section. They have this huge display of all these counter and tile samples, in two different sizes. (And they're free.) Those little sample thingies that you take home to see how they'll match with your decor.

Well, the small ones were the perfect size for truss rod covers and the larger ones would accomodate an archtop or acoustic type pickguard cover. Maybe even custom pup covers.

The thing is, there was a large variety of wood grains, some cool marbles, granites . . . you get the idea. Doesn't necessarily fit your exact needs, but might be worth looking into. ;)

Wood grain might be interesting. I think I'm going to call the place that is doing my pickguard and see if they will do a cover too.
