custom vs fullshred bridge

Hello, i have a nice '86 Gibson V, currently the guitar has Full Shred's, I kinda like the sound of them but would like some more crunch, more attack.
How would the Duncan Custom do instead of the Full Shred, good choise or not ?

Re: custom vs fullshred bridge

The Custom is a similar wind. For crunch and attack, I'd rather see you stay with the double row of short allen wrench pole pieces. So if you wanted to step it up a little, you could swap the Full Shred's Alnico 5 magnet for a Ceramic, and you'd basically have a Custom, but with more crunch and attack. If you didn't like it, then you'd know that you wouldn't have liked the Custom either, so you go back to the original A5 magnet in the Full Shred and leave it alone.

+1, try to swap the magnet in the Full shred for a ceramic magnet. That might do the trick for you!

If that dosent work, get a Duncan Livewires heavy metal. The MOST crunch of ANY pickup.
