Customizing Single Coils

I am currently using three Lace Sensor Golds and are pretty pleased with their subtle, quiet, but apparent tone. However, I mainly use the neck or neck and middle to get a deeper, jazzier tone that I love. I was wondering on replacing my bridge Gold for a sound not so piercing, and overtoned on mid. Im going through an American Strat. My playing is mixed between electric blues and modal improvisation. I and envy the tone of Steve Kimock, and search for a sound of Garcia's mid 70's sound. Something with character and sounds brassy/silky. Has anyone tried/heard the Lipsticks from Seymour?? That may be the sound I crave but don't know how it will react in a mixed posistion with a Lace single coil. I want versatility but fear it may not be as possible with three of the same pickups. Thank you.
