Nothing was announced at NAMM about the new version of the Solstice. I have heard the whole acoustic preamp line was being overhauled, but that was mid 2015. I'd assume it is still in the works.

I use L. R. Baggs Anthem and Lyric. Available right away.

I've got an LR Baggs Lyric myself and it's really impressive technology. All it needs is a good preamp and you're good to go.

i was out in santa barbara years ago having lunch with duncan management and i brought up making electric versions of these, i still think its a great idea. looking forward to the new versions coming out!

Only judging from the specs, but I'm not sure you'd even need an "electric" version per se. They both seem like they could do excellent pre-amp duty for use with a power amp/speaker, or active monitors. Could be a killer studio setup.

if you have an electric with a piezo then ive heard the duncan units sound really damn good. typical electric guitar pups, didnt sound great. i was thinking something that would add the ability to plug your X into and it would push it toward the tone/feel of Y. modeling should go deep and can produce fine, albeit not perfect, results

The Mama Bear sounds really great with piezos in my electric. I used that for recording before. It doesn't record just like an acoustic (it would be great live), but it is a very useful sound.
