^^ No, but it requires a blocked trem or Tremsetter (or Tremol-no), and more importantly an Original or Gotoh Floyd Rose with actual bolts sticking out under the whale tale. It MAY work with an Original Ibanez Edge But I´ve never heard of someone using that combo.
It will NOT fit Schaller Floyd Roses or their copies, nor ANY low profile Floyd variant currently on the market, including but not limited to Jackson 580LP, Ibanez lo pro TRS, Ibanez Lo Pro Edge, Schaller Low Profile Floyd or OFR PRO.
