d'addario chromes

Well i strung these on my godin the other night, they feel AMAZING and there have godly note clarity, only thing is there flatwound and made for jazz i play blues and rock, i played them anyways, but i broke the d string in like 3 days, i really love the sound/feel of these strings, i am useing these in 11's(jazz light) will bumping up to 12 or even 13 fix my string breaking problem?

If you're breaking any strings on an 11's, you're playing hard enough to break 12s or 13s, as well ... You may have to lighten your touch!!

i used to only use ddario chromes and they have a really stiff feel for their gauge.
Sound good though, and feel nice...
