Woah looks like the majority of replies on here like to use D'addarios! As I restring every 3-4 weeks for most of my guitars I do need to keep the brightness of the string. I think with DD's I restrung roughly about the same time scale as I would have EB though I'm going to get a set of both brands, restring them both at the same time and see after 4 weeks how long they go.

I've been using EB's for about 15 years. My preference for most of that time was the Classic Pure Nickel wound, but I've switched all of my tremolo equipped guitars to M-Steels (I like the feel of the string better than most and the plain strings seem to last longer), but have the Classics on my PRS Hollowbody.

With D'addario, I was always getting the nickel plating from the wound strings wearing off too quickly the copper and stainless picks I use.
