I currently use one 9v power supper with a visual sound 8-plug daisy chain to power all my pedals, will I have less noise using a voodoolabs power supply (or similar) or will it make no real difference?

Re: Daisy chain or or multiple isolated outputs to power pedals?

depends...are you getting any noise now? I had a chain and that was hum central, but the hum went away with a power brick.

Re: Daisy chain or or multiple isolated outputs to power pedals?

There's always going to be some noise with the amount of pedals I've got, I'm currently doing everything I can to reduce that, I just don't have a power brick to compare a chain to.

Re: Daisy chain or or multiple isolated outputs to power pedals?

well if it helps, using a brick sounds the same as batteries to me....im also using some 18v outputs. the chain was noisy.

If you just have one or two really noisy pedals, get a dedicated wall-wort for each of the noisiest pedals, then daisy chain the rest of your stuff. That will quiet things down quite a bit.
