Hello friends... I just scored a sweet MIM Strat "Squier Series" in fiesta red with rosewood board. I am going to work some Dali magic on her and transform her into a Mark Knopfler strat:
The Knopfler strat is an artist series standard guitar that retails for about $1500. Pretty standard USA guitar with Texas Specials. The big deal is the color, which is very hard to find.
These MIM Squier guitars were made in the mid-90s and had a mish-mash of components (some Mexican, some Far East). As such, I have some stuff coming OFF the strat that I need to sell, and some items I NEED for the strat...
OK... to go:
- MIM/Squier tuners (these are the in-line non-ping tuners)
- Squier tremolo (this is a Squier trem, not MIM)
- MIM standard pickups (SSS - these are MIM pups, not import squier pups)
- SX gigbag (new)
I haven't received the guitar yet, so I don't know the overall condition of the stuff. I also have the following:
- Arion Flanger (MIJ)
- Zoom Acoustic pedal
- Morely Pro Series Wah
- Gold humbucker covers (new, no holes, can be used on any pickup)
- Random assortment of pickup covers, pots, jacks, pickguard or two, capacitors, humbucker brackets, etc
What I need:
- Gotoh/Kluson 6-inline Tuners
- MIM standard bridge with "fender" saddles. Prefer upgraded large block
- Parchment or mint green SSS pickguard, pup covers, knobs, tips, trem plate
- Texas Special PUPS
