I know someone posted a site that offered kits and was looking to build one earlier this week.

What was that site agian? I seem to recall you had to order from a different site?

I think i may build one, as i have way to much time on my hands. If all goes well, i may start building assorted kits, pedals, amps, guitars....

Re: Dallas Rangemaster

just get the schematics and build one yourself. The kits are pricey, and the total parts from mouser amound to a fraction of the price. Just get a nice metal box from hammond with 3 holes.

Re: Dallas Rangemaster

$65. for the kit? Complete? Seems like a good deal to me!

A couple of hours work at the most and you're done.

I dunno...I'd let the guy make a buck or two, save me alot of time and hassle locating and waiting for all the parts, and just order the kit.

yea i wanna order the kit, just seems easier, especiallly for a first timer

Sure! Let the guy make a buck or two for getting it all together and all in one place for you, spend an hour or two wiring it up and everybody's happy.

Sometimes people waste so much time trying to save a dime....it just doesn't make any sense.

really only an hour or two?

im kinda hoping it will take like 3-4 hours, a weekend project. I am considering getting some of that cool looking spraypaint, and also painting on my own labels. im also not the greatest solder-er though im not bad. Im gonna wait till he starts taking credit cards to do it (just easier for me). and hopefully do this over a weekend, and maybe build an amp this spring, working like 30 minutes or so per night, and 1-4 hours on the weekends.
