D'Angelico Guitars - They all feel strange to my hand.

I noticed a fire sale on D'Angelico guitars happening on some familiar online dealers this month. Can't say I'm surprised

-I don't know if it's only me but everyone of these guitars I've picked up and played in a store (maybe 30-40 total over the last 5 years) all feel strange -strange neck profile decisions, nut height, tension, and overall awkward playability compared to other import semi and hollow bodies like Epiphone, Gretsch and Ibanez -which those still amaze -especially for the price.

D'Angelico remind me of those 90s pawn shop imports off brands that used to be everywhere that had that strange quality of awkward playability.

Anyone else have this experience with these D'Angelico guitars? Or is it maybe more to my hands than everyone noticing this?

I played one of their solidbody guitars in a GC early last year and actually really liked it.

Who's clearing them out? I might could be convinced to buy one.

Gotcha, well they ran 4 D'Angelico guitars in the last 7 days -that seemed excessive. but perhaps not.

.well if you like them hopefully one eventually peaks your interest.
 
I have zero interest in a D'Angelico made in Asia. The real New York deal, yeah - but I can't afford one.
 
I've played a few. They are a little gaudy for me, and the large headstock made several of them neck heavy, so that's a big no.
