Any humbucker will work for metal. Trust me. EMG81 is the one for metal though.

I thought he used those live... but in the studio he uses gibson guitars with gibson pups....

no man , he plays the icemans live , but i dont know whta kind of pickups? but in the studio he plays a jackson rr stock i think , i read it in an interview

i used to be a big soad fan. his icemans have PGs in them.....and he play gibsons with stock pickups (i think the whole 500t set or somethin?) in the studio as well as that jackson......

Hey Flank and why did you stop being a fan , system of a down its my favorite band man , it used to be rage against the machine , but when they stop everything went down . and abotu those pearly gates how come people he get such a hyge sound from not high output pickups , i think its not just the ppickups , is all his gear his amps and sh*it

He doesn't need the pickups to be high output since his amps have more than enough gain on their own.

On the albums his main sound is a Dual Rectifier, but he uses a JCM800 for fill work to help thicken up the sound. I've seen him in the ad for the Marshall Mode 4 lately. I don't know i that's his new main amp, or if he uses it along side the others.
