Dating a Charvel guitar (not literally)

My buddy has a MIJ (so he has been told) Charvel Journeyman, the serial is 02030101 and is trying to find out it's age! Can anyone help out?





My guess would be "02" meaning 2002?

I think that is correct. Journeyman was a Japan-made model, IIRC they began in 2000.

There are some Charvels that I would sex-up. Not that one. That guitar is a fat chic I wouldn't let my friends see out. DOn't get me wrong - I'd bang it!
