dave mustaine pickups

Anybody bought and tried those yet ?
I ordered a pair for my '86 gibson flying V (with maple neck)

Dude, if you've got an ebony fretboard too--it may sound very bright!

Then again it may sound fine with that mahogany body.

I ordered a couple sets for stock at NAMM but have not received them yet. I don't think SD has started shipping yet.

i was told there was a problem with the covers and they all got pushed back around a month or so.

No, the fretboard is rosewood, and the guitar sounds not very bright, my gibson sg and jackson soloist are brighter.

And the body also seems thicker then the newer V's. the guitar has a pretty fat sounds now.

Jackson Distortion: I don't think he'll have any problem getting extremely awesome tone with the new pups.
