Db Blues

Re: Db Blues

Welcome to the forum ... lot of great input here. I liked your playing although I'm not real big fan of effects ... that's just me. I think I would have enjoyed it more straight up with amp overdrive. But it sounded good to me. :fing2:

Re: Db Blues

Maybe a few more notes. There's not quite enough notes in there to be called "blues". I could do with a few more notes. And some faster runs too. That'd make it bluesier. :kidding: Nah I'm just kidding with you. The tones and the recording process are great!

There's something about the drums and bassline that is causing tension rhythmically, between each beat on the "ands". It's almost like the drum pattern was quantized within a straight 4, not a shuffle. So the "ands" are cut somewhere into a subdivision of 4 rather than 3. I don't know if that makes sense. If they were recorded live, then I'm stumped. It's like the "ands" are all slightly late or something. How did you make your track?

Anyway my compliments, :notworthy the playing is great, and with or without effects, with or without the wheedlie-deedlies you can obviously play, and have been blessed. :fing2: So my jokes about note quantity aside, it's a great jam! But next time I want to see a few more notes in there. You left some room in there that could have been filled. :laugh2:

Re: Db Blues

I noticed the timing thing, but I think it sounds good. I really loved that tone, even if it was a bit heavy on the effects.
