DD and 496R?

are these two pickups a good match for each other? i'm planning to buy an Agile PS-900 off a friend, which already has the DD in the bridge, and i'm trying to find a decent neck pickup for not too much cash. i found a Gibson 496R online for cheap, and decided to look into that option.

It should match fine. I actually like the 496R in the neck, I think its a decent pickup.

500 is a under wound DD w/3 ceramic mags. It...well don't mean to offend any one...actually no pickup sucks if it's paired with a good other pickup…the DD is the soul mate for the 496R.

The 496R is very articulate, at least that's my experience. I got the best results pairing the 496R with a Duncan Custom. That worked the best for me, but I believe the DD is a good match, since it's not overwhelmingly hotter than the Custom.

I mean, to me the 500T that Gibson pairs the 496R with is a touch too hot to be a good match. I don't know the DC resistance of any of the Gibby pups - this is based purely on my ears' perception.

500T is a 15k #44 and the DD is 16.6k #44. Does any one know what the specs on a 496 are?
