DD or Custom

I just bought an OLP mm1 off of ebay and I'm going to mod the crap out of it.
First I'm going to put a little finish on the neck. Then I'm going to replace the bridge w/ a wilkinson I have and the nut w/ a graph tech I also have. Then some locking tuners. Then comes the pups and wiring. I have a custom and DD. Which one (if either of them) do you think would work better with this basswood and maple/maple guitar?

I have a DD in a basswood body with a trem and it's killer...the single bucker/floyd rose/VH guitar is not my cup of tea but I got it in a deal that involved trading some gear...it is a killer pickup...and usally I hate hot pups...
