Dean Evo

Hi. I'm new here. I was just wondering, if anyone has played a Dean evo special, how does it compare to the sound of a Les paul?

Re: Dean Evo

Its very simular in tone to the LP, but at a much lower price. I personally love Deans and what they've done for the guitar world. They have a great feeling neck, and good mojo like no other. I say, try a couple out, and find the one that clicks with you. Then you've got yourself a score, man. Welcome to the board, bro.

Re: Dean Evo

Thanks alot, i had been wondering, since i bought an Evo 2 weeks ago and i havent had the chance to play a real LP. And the evo has coil taps :)

Re: Dean Evo

I agree, Dean has raised the bar for mid-budget guitars... I would get a Dean, but, I'm too traditional too, they've always looked... radical to me. So, I have to spend more money on an Epiphone or Ibanez lawsuit....

Re: Dean Evo

I would be more than glad to put my Dean Chafin Del Sol up against any semi-hollowbody, even Gibson and PRS' higher model semi-hollowbody stuff. The neck is absolutely phenomenal. The tone is great unplugged and I think with my new pups in there, it'll be heaven.

Not many people want to give Dean a chance, or if they do, it'll just be the USA made Hardtails. They're different looking and for me that works. The craftsmanship is great too and for the price, I'm not sure if there's anything that comes close.
