Hmm, that's interesting because i always thought of distortion as the ultimate heavyness. If fuzz is so heavy in comparison, why do metal bands use distortion? Why is there a metal zone but no metal fuzz, is what im saying i guess.

The whole GRUNGE movement was almost over before Boss came out with their two fuzz-boxes. You can say, "too little , wayyyy too late !".

But for me, myideal fuzz is more like the tones that you get from, EHX's, the
BIG MUFF, Maxon's D&S, ProCo's You Dirty Rat, Effector 13's "kP".
