Delay Dilemma...Help Me Choose!

I'm lazy and can't decide, so help me out.

From this list of delay pedals, pick three you'd put on your pedalboard. (They will will be run in the loop.)

Boss DD-3
Boss DD-3 (Yes, there are two!)
Boss DD-20
Boss DM-2 Waza
Roctron Short-Timer
MXR Carbon Copy
MXR Carbon Copy Bright
DanElectro FAB Echo
BBE Two-Timer
Line 6 Echo Park

And I'd like to know WHY you selected the pedals you chose.

DD3, Carbon Copy (or DM2) and Echo Park.

Digital, Analog and Everything else with tap tempo. You can cover everything.

I’d use either a DM-2W or Carbon Copy in front of the amp for “fattening” the tone and the DD-20 in the loop for digital, tape and longer analog tones. Since the DD-20 has 4 presets that would cover everything for me.

I'll throw Two Timer in as a sub for the Echopark. That's 4 delays in three pedals.

Would you like your delay pedal to include reverb too?. If that’s the case then I would get the Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master

I'm thinking the DD-20 for longer digital delays and the tap tempos, and then maybe two analog delays picked from the Carbon Copy, CC Bright or the DM-2 Waza. The BBE Two-Timer is supposed to be a clone of the original DM-2, so that's a possibility too, I guess. Some of it will depend on what will physically fit on my board.

I still think the Vapor Trail sounds much better than either Carbon Copy. The regular one is too dark, and the bright one is too bright.

I still think the Vapor Trail sounds much better than either Carbon Copy. The regular one is too dark, and the bright one is too bright.

I was using the Rocktron Short-Timer, but it was too big for my board. Bought a Carbon Copy a few years ago, but it seems too dark, though it is a nice pedal. I got a terrific deal on a CC Bright, but haven't tried it yet. I'm hoping it is closer to the Rocktron. The DD-3 is a good pedal, but I think at this point, it's TOO digital sounding.

I would try the Vapor Trail, but as you can guess--I'm kinda overwhelmed with the Delay pedals I've already got.

I can’t help you here...I’m in the process of moving my delay (and modulation and maybe reverb) into the midi world...
But I have heard great thing about the boss and mxr delays. I’m currently using a flashback delay which gets the job done for me.

From the list I would choose Boss DM-2 Waza. Not from the list... I really liked the Dunlop Aqua Puss, Echo Puss and the Supa Puss.
