Just got my custom Warmoth neck for my 2001 American Series Double Fat Strat. Looking forward to putting it on Saturday.

I also like SS frets, and Warmoth's sensible location for the truss rod adjustment. Use Staggered locking tuners. I also like unfinished necks, or like Music Man does- finished with oil & beeswax.

OP, Why don;t you find a luthier near you to make you a custom instrument at a fraction of what you will pay warmoth?

I don't think a completely custom instrument is going to be cheaper than Warmoth. At least from any luthiers I know.

I'm not aware of any custom built guitar here in the States that use top quality woods and is cheaper than Warmoth...
