Detonator deconstructinator

I know that there are a few fans of the DD Detonator pup around here, so hopefully one of em will be able to answer this. I've read that despite the very visible pole-pieces and description on the main site, they are somewhat more like a Distortion than an Invader. Does this mean that they don't have the multiple magnet innards that the Invader has? There's something about the idea of having a few mags that appeals to me, and I've possibly got the chance to grab one at a reasonable price. Thanks.

Word from evan in a recent thread is basically that it's a Distortion with Invader poles.

So, whatever is in a Distortion, which is a big honkin ceramic.

I just picked up a detonator, it has 1 big ceramic magnet. I'm pretty sure it is identical to the duncan designed distortion except for the giant invader poles. That being said, it is in a league of it's own, not a cheap invader, but a totally unique pickup that some on the forum really seem to love. I'll be installing it next week, can't wait!

That's what I thought, seemed worth checking though. I may still pick it up if I can grab it cheaply enough, new pups are always fun :)
