Did The "NOT The Gilmour Mod" Mod - But Neck Overwhelming Bridge?

Did the "not the Gilmour mod" mod a couple of weeks ago using a push-pull to bring the neck in (in parallel) with the bridge.

Neck pickup is a Seymour Duncan SSL-1 Vintage Staggered Strat and the bridge pickup is a S-D '59 Custom Hybrid humbucker.

It seems to me that the neck single coil is overwhelming the bridge humbucker.

Can I try putting a few ohms in series with the neck connection, only for the "not the Gilmour mod" switch position?

If so how many?

Thanks.

What do each pickup sound like volume wise when you flip between them??

The bridge and neck combo is a good one where the brightness of the bridge can cut through the thickness of the neck. A slightly hot humbucker will cut through with mids more than a singlecoil - which will be more in the treble register. Hence its nature might not be as apparent as otherwise.
But I'd look to height adjustments first....once you know how each pickup is behaving.

I would also make sure both coils of the Hybrid are working properly. You can just tap on the poles to see if each coil is sensing the strings. You can further investigate to make sure you get the proper reading from each pickup. The neck shouldn't overpower the bridge in that pair.
