Differance between old/new peavey classics?

Any differance between the newer MIC and older MIA classic 30's? I'm thinking of getting a new classic 30 to run stereo with my current one, probably won't, but for the sake of fun I'm thinking of it. Reliability? Tone?

The prices of old Classics are so good, there's no reason to NOT buy used.....then buy a full set of tubes.

I didn't realize the new ones were made in China until today, but the main way of differenciating between the old and new is the logo. The new ones have oval logo area near the top of the amp. The old ones had the Peavey logo on the grillcloth.

Ya i didn't know they had moved production of the Classic line over to China.... Big step for a company like Peavey that was so AMERICAN MADE. I will be listening closely to see if anyone compares the guts of the USA and China ones.... See if they went cheaper on parts and quality or if they are just as good.

One thing i am hopeing for is if the new chassy design stops the rattle some of these amps get.... my 10 year old C30 combo gets a rattle and chassy buzz sometimes and then it disappears.... then comes back.

Where is this information about the Classic's being MIC now? Last I heard from Peavey was that the Classic series would continue to be made in the USA. I can't stand it when companies sell shirts that say 'Made in the USA' when half, if not more of their product line is made in China. If this is the case, I'm glad I bought my MIA Classic last year. Great sounding amp for the price with a few tweaks. Not interested in a MIC version of it though.

By the way, I know this is the wrong catagory, but I have a new classic 30 for sale reasonable $375.00 inc. shipping. I honestly only have about 8-10 hrs. on it. It was at the music store for a couple of years. they gave me a great deal so I bought it. It's a great little amp. Sorry if I broke any rules on this post:hijacked: I'm new at this forum, so let me know if I did a bad bad thing:smack:

Where are you folks getting the info that the C30's are being made in China now? According to Peavey they are still being made in the USA. If your referring to the cosmetic changes to the C30, that's all they are. Everything else is the same.
